12 TED Talks from Nobel Prize winners

Throughout this week, the Nobel Committee will be announcing the winners of the 2013 Nobel  Prizes. Yesterday, James E. Rothman, Randy W. Schekman and Thomas C. Südhof were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Today, Peter Higgs and Francois Englert were named the winners of the prize in Physics, for predicting the existence of the Higgs boson. (Watch Brian Cox’s great explainer on what the particle is expected to do.) Tomorrow, we’ll find out the winner of the prize in Chemistry, followed by the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature Thursday. On Friday, the winner of the prestigious Peace Prize will be revealed. Finally, on Monday, Oct. 14, the announcements will conclude with the bestowing of the 2012 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.
