Over the last decade or so, an amazing number of high profile executives and directors have been fired from their roles at Hewlett-Packard. Leo Apotheker was basically booted for incompetence. Mark Hurd got the axe after getting entangled in an expense accounting scandal tied to sexual harassment allegations. In Carly Fiorina‘s case, she was canned amid investors unhappiness with her management of the company.
And there are plenty of other ex-HPers where those came, including a variety of former execs who got the axe after the company was caught spying on journalists in an attempt to find the source of various boardroom leaks.
